Vilas County trails remain in good condition. Partly cloudy skies and cold weather helped groomers after a great weekend of sledding. Icy areas are developing in corners and on heavily traveled trail sections. Riders are reminded to stay on the trails as marked and to not cross any area lake until a crossing has been clearly marked. For information on specific trails or areas, check out the links below. |
Cross country ski trails remain in very good to excellent condition. Scattered icy sections are beginning to develop in exposed areas and some thinning areas are appearing under the thicker tree cover so skiers are reminded to watch for changing trail conditions.

Weather Forecast: Scattered snow showers with daytime highs in the mid-20's dropping to the mid-teens are forecast through Wednesday with colder nighttime temperatures expected during the latter part of the week. Scattered snowshowers are forecast to develope by the weekend as daytime highs move to the upper 20's with nighttime lows in the low teens. As weather can change quickly, check your favorite weather website for conditions in the area you intend visiting. |
